Is actually passive cooling . .the big job Is done by the vapor chamber heatsink if you remove the fan (actually tested myself) you can play light game without trigger the thermal trip sensor to shutdown the console .. the fan Is only for helping the heatsink.. its not crucial like normal Xbox heatsink

If you're having overheating issues, i highly recommend checking your thermal paste. Mine was barely there.

During the summer the cooling vent can’t be relied on all summer it’s the job for the fans to keep it cool too

so if i put a fan at the top like the ones you can attach and i put one at the bottom bottom pulls air and the top pushes air would that make it cooler

As another user commented, why did you take off the stand? The intake ports aren't in the back, those were added post production for extra ventilation, the main intake ports are on the bottom of the console which is why the round base plate is attached so it has that clearance on the bottom for intake. This video is extremely misleading and incorrect.

Xbox series x is amazingly designed. My launch day series x is super quiet. Recently got the xbox series s and that thing is quiet but it gets damn hit! I have a theory that it's because the holes are smaller on top of the Series S which means it's easier to heat up the black plastic grill. In comparison the xbox series x feels much much cooler and that be the holes are huge and maybe hit heats up the green plastic underneath more than the top.
On the Series S it's not that air that is hot it's the plastic

Yeah but it also gets extremely Dusty, if you don't put vent covers on. but if you do put vent covers on, make sure that you put an external cooling fan on the Xbox.

But the xbox series x does have fault with fans designed it does the job well but too well so dust can easily go inside and over heat the system easily

I thought the fan sucked in air from the top of the Xbox, and the hot air gets blown out the bottom vents.
