New 'brushing scam' popping up in Utah

If an unexpected package with a gift in it arrives at your house, it might not be a gift at all — it could be a part of what police are calling a "brushing scam," which is popping up here in Utah.

That unexpected package doesn't just come with an unexpected gift, it comes with a QR code telling you to scan it to find out who sent it.

Once you do that, that's how they get you.
