Formula for mixture problems : (concentration one × volume) + (concentration two × volume ) = (concentration final × volume)
You don't need to use decimals.
25x + 20(75 - x) = 22(75) The key to the volumes is assigning x to volume one then assigning the second volume as (final volume - x)
25x + 1500 - 20x = 1650
5x = 150
x = 30 units of the 25% solution, 75 - 30 = 45 units of the 20% solution.
Once you know the formula and the key to the volumes, these are straightforward.
