For the Decimal/amount mixture problems this makes a lot of sense, but I don't understand how to do it with Money. I have this problem, can you please help?- A grocer sells peanuts for $3.00/lb and a mix of fancy nuts for $5.60 per pound, he wants to make 20lbs of a new mix that sells for $4.00 per pound. How many of each will he need? (Thx)

Mass is conserved but not necessarily the volumes of mixed liquids. (30 mL + 70 mL is not necessarily 100 mL.) Without density data significant differences between calculation and reality is likely. This could be avoided by asking for grams (not mLs) of each to be added (assuming also % is % by weight). I enjoy your lectures.
