My poor pigeon had this. Wasn't sure what it was but pulled it instinctively since it was bleeding. She was mad, then calmed down a lot and stopped stepping gingerly on her foot. Used witch hazel to clean it. It's a thousand percent better just a day later. Guess I can't leave her roaming free when I run errands anymore. Somehow she got hurt while I was gone. I've only had her a week so I'm still learning.
