Hopefully Alien Romulus looks and feels like a low-budget 80's movie with Practical Effects for don't make the same mistake as trash The Thing 2011 movie which is a Prequel to 1982 movie and yet doesn't look or feel like an 80's movie.

Considering how Disney has been ruining franchises, let's hope they change the pace and actually do something good with it. If Godzilla has been able to crawl his way back into spotlight, then the Alien franchise has even more potential just waiting to be properly explored.
The only thing seemingly good about it so far is really the director, given that they're keeping things so close to the chest I wouldn't be surprised if the first trailer only comes out like two months before the movie debuts. Really to either not show how good or bad it is.

Fun fact : If you watch the title card from the new Quiet Place:Day one trailer, there is a certain piece of music / sound that plays and it has been taken from the Alien:Covenant movie. I really....really hope they don't end up merging these two universes in any way.

You can't do an Aliens origin story if "David created the aliens." They need to throw all that Ridley Scott/Lindelof crap right in the dumpster.
