I've seen people do this experiment in their freezes. You did it completely different.

When you kept shaking the room temperature water, you got the same effect that you get when you tap a very cold bottle of water and it immediately starts freezing, called "nucleation". Hence, your agitating the room temperature water inadvertently sped the freezing process.

What does hot water HAVE TO become, before it freezes ? Duhhhh....COLD WATER ! (dumb myth)

Boiling water and HOT water are completely different in molecular structure. But even regular hot tap water doesn’t freeze faster
