Does Hot Water Really Freeze Faster?

We conduct a small experiment to find out if hot water freezes faster and if ice left in our stock water tanks effects the speed of freezing. The Mpemba effect.

The old wise tale about hot water freezing quicker in the freezer is, when you put hot water in the freezer, the warm steam sets of the thermostat which kicks on the motor to freezer. So depending on how efficient your freezer is will determine how fast the water freezes.
