I’m so glad you’re talking down the springs so much we really don’t need more people moving here 😂

Drivers in the springs are the absolute worst experience ever.

We’re in the mountains, of course the culture out here is going to be focused on the outdoors. That’s like living on the coast and complaining because everybody wants to surf.

As a Colorado Native, Don't come here! C-Springs use to be a secret until the military retired here. Stay away! Go back more than ten years and tell me different.

Been living here since 2014. All your points are super valid. I will also add crime and homelessness has gotten considerably worse over the years (as most of the US) But still a long shot from Denver and most Texas cities. Not to mention home prices literally doubling in most areas since covid. We came here and started saving to buy a house when there was plenty of homes in the 200-250K, and right about the same time we were ready to apply covid hit and most homes are now 450k-500k (unless you want to live in the hood) We're now priced out and sadly will be leaving the state in a year or two. But if you can afford it, its a great place to live. And lastly, I know you didn't ask for this but I wanted to say the video is a bit heavy on the editing (all the extra snippets, comic relief etc...) You do you, but it felt like a lot of interruptions.

Just came across your video. Seems like you are describing my home to a degree: San Antonio. We are very chill and big military presence. We get crazy wind and hail too. I keep my car in the garage during thunderstorms. The extreme heat here is no joke.

After living in Denver for 28 years, moving here was a welcomed change.

I recently found out the springs is the hail capital of the United States. A garage or car cover is a must.

Dude Co springs is NOT a party place Miami!? Ahhh no. It’s a beautiful nature mountain place. It’s NATURE the reason you’re in the springs. Outdoorsy

Sounds like you are describing summit county. I left summit county and am part time in the springs because there is so much non nature stuff to do in comparison to summit. Love having go karts and mini golf and other normal city stuff to do again.

I moved to South Carolina in December looking for better weather and I already want to return to Colorado Springs again... I'd rather deal with the bipolar weather of Colorado Spring than stay in South Carolina with the tons of problems here, starting with that the traffic lights don't work😔, people are very kind when they are not driving... when they are driving, they become fast and furious.🏎️😶‍🌫️.

I have mixed emotions about this, I'm a native of Colorado Springs, I currently live in Colorado Springs, But I also lived in New York, Florida, Chicago, And California. So I definitely have things too compare this place to.. This is definitely not the biggest city or the most culturally diverse, I'm latino and white. So I have a bit of a different perspective then the majority. When we grow up, What I remember everybody was dressed up all the time with jewelry, And flashy cars, And I'm talking about latinos, whites and blacks, Smolens and Filipinos. My second car was A BMW M3 I was 19 years old..Most of us would get a haircut once a week. I'm a Barber by trade, I breed designer French bulldogs, And I race motorcycles, Snowboard, fly drones And skate And a bunch of other things, There's not a huge night life here but you can find stuff to do, I have a friend right now that goes out frequently, has fun and always find something to do, meats girls every time he goes out.. and Denver's an hour away just drive up there you could find anything you want.. The Olympic training center is in Colorado Springs, We have some of the best athletes on the planet that live in Colorado Springs, Michael Phelps Lived here for 10 years And I personally know a lot of them. Colorado Springs is a really cool place it's not slow. I know a good amount of people that don't really do outdoorsy type stuff and they're perfectly content, they find Things to do all the time.. If you're social you can link up with people that are gonna have fun all the time and not outdoors.. The weather is bipolar for sure, And there's not a lot of places to go out and eat good food. Other than that this place is awesome! There is a reason why people are moving here by the thousands. It was a low-key gem. Cats out of the bag now, And the stuff that made Colorado Springs Desirable, We're slowly losing that because it's getting overpopulated, The things that made it great are changing fast..

I've been stuck here for years, it's not that bad, I've definitely seen worse.

Hello- how much of a concern is crime? I have noticed over the last year or more (that I've been watching the News there), that a numerous amount of shootings and homicides (including a drive by 8 months ago) have occurred. One happened yesterday.
What one considers high/low crime is relative to where they'd be moving from. That said, I'm in a state with moderate violent crime, yet a city with almost no crime (completely safe).

Yeah, moved here a few years ago... Got into cycling this year. It's a good way to experience the city, but the lack of culture focused anything does take a toll on the wife and I.

lived in Denver, Boulder and Now Fort Collins. Fort collins is the most mundane miserable place I have ever lived. I have got to get out of here.
