I realize it's not really Make:'s area of focus, but I would have appreciated some info on how functional it is as a phone. Do I need a SIM from my carrier, a VOIP account somewhere, or is CircuitMess the carrier? What signal band does it use, and, by extension, if I need a SIM does my carrier support it? What is the sound quality like? Given that part of the poor call quality for modern smart phones starts with internal antennas, do they have an external one I can add? (I realize that the plastic body and open sides probably already greatly improve its signal over most phones available today, but antennas are fun!)

I no longer want a cell phone but today's society actively discourages being disconnected.
