Chancellor Outlines Vision in Three-Year Plan for UCSF

UCSF Chancellor Susan Desmond-Hellmann, MD, MPH, delivered the State of the University address on Oct. 4, 2011, unveiling a new vision for UCSF — to be the world's preeminent health sciences innovator. Desmond-Hellmann unveiled a three-year plan for the University that outlines five major goals, which map to her top priorities as chancellor. The goals focus on providing unparalleled patient care, improving health through innovative science, attracting talented and diverse trainees, being the workplace of choice and creating a financially sustainable business model for UCSF.
