GED® Math: Volume Formulas (1.MP1, Exp, #5,8,11)

Показать описание
Algebra Essentials, Mixed Practice 1, Experienced Level, #5,8,11
Let's look at three different styles of geometry problems utilizing volume formulas. In the first, we look at a straightforward example, finding the volume of a cylinder and letting our calculator handle the fractions. The second example gets a little trickier; the capital B we need in the pyramid formula is the area of the base shape of the pyramid, giving us an extra step in the process to find volume. In the third example, we're given the volume of a cone and are asked to find its height. This style of problem, using a formula to solve for a missing dimension is very GED® Math test typical and frequently mixes students up.
