The problem I had with the Pentel GraphGear is I had it for a few months, and the plastic bit broke, making it snap in half.

Rotating lead is not helpful if you actually take advantage of chisel tip effect to vary line width. Ironically the more I research the more I prefer bic .5s I might try a point 3 but 7 or 9 are basically inferior to a well sharpened wood pencil.
