Not ashamed to say I sob like a child when I hear this particular melody, because it always brings back feelings of loss experienced with the sudden departure of loved ones, whom I know I will see again someday after I finally pass through the veil.

As I was forced by his illness to say goodbye to my beloved furbaby, this song just happened to be playing in the overhead music. It took a second to recognize it but when I did I was overcome with grief. But as I returned from the vet alone, I realized that perhaps it was a sign. A sign that love (in whatever form it is) never dies and that we will meet again someday. So in that thought...there is hope.

I was 16 when I watched this movie for the first time in my living room. By the end I was SOBBING, my mom thought my bf broke up with me. I'm 34 now and there hasn't been another movie that makes my cry like this. My mom named me after Elise, my name is Elisa.

Thank God that this classic, romantic film entered my life and became one of my most favorite romance films of all time.

There was a couple I knew who had a very special marriage. They met when he and his family were traveling through the US (he was from England), they spent the night chatting. She told my mom that she had met this wonderful man and wished he lived here. A few days later, he called and said he was returning for some unfinished business and would she like to spend some time together? At the end of the second day he told her that his unfinished business was to see her again, and he was wondering if she would accept his hand in marriage. She said she felt the same way but didn't say yes right away. At Christmas 3 months later, she traveled to England to spend Christmas with him, he asked again and she said yes. They were married for 30 years, greeted each other as newlyweds everyday, and it ended with her death. She's been gone for 25 years now. I imagine that someday when he dies this is how they will meet again in heaven ...
