It was expected. SCOTUS only likes to hear cases when they go through the normal appeals process, or if there is a Constitutional issue at stake.

I hope the judge is well pissed off by all the BS by now. Clearly there is no remorse or acknowledgement of the verdict. Maybe no jail time is reasonable but a felon that totally rejects any culpability over and over to the entire nation after a jury has found them guilty requires some sort of penalty.
