Beryl treats league as his work: You show up, do the bare min you need to successfully accomplish w/e goals your workplace has, get paid, and spend that salary on things you as a person enjoy.

I went backthen from g5 to d3 by mainly rewatching my own games. While I was gold for years prior. You learn a lof if you reflect and watch the whole game playout from all sides.
So kinda understandable, still interesting af xD

Well at some point, you might have enough mechanic to just excute, but you need to train your decisions making. And one way is to play, other way is too see games in different scenarios and find out how to play it. By playing you might not face all the different scenarios, so one might say it is best to watch more games than playing. So him playing 1-2 hours and watching replays for the rest, might be a good tactics, since he is a support.

Dude is just built diff. he knows what he needs to do and if what said about him playing 1-2 hrs then spends the rest reviewing games, then you know he has more than enough tactical knowledge than even faker perhaps in-game.

I think it makes total sense for him to study games rather than play them. There's a lot to unravel and maybe that's just more productive for him.

I climbed the most when I played the least... from permanent gold player every season to diamond in 1-2 months. Climbed 4 divisions in 4 weeks played 1-2 hours of game a day. Took me sometime being a league player to learn it's about quality not quantity.

The character's name is Elysia for those who are wondering.
She has quite a personality and is super popular among the HI3 community.

He plays Support after all. Honestly, reviewing games makes him understand more of the macro by letting him pay attention to everyone and not just his screen. I'd say good job for him knowing how to work smart.

Winning worlds is just his side hustle. Playing Genshin is his real passion

beryl is basically wunder going support at his peak

Same situation as Wunder found himself in 2018/2019 while he was considered the best western top laner bar none, top something around the world and crushed the competition during worlds up until the finale against FPX. BeryL accomplished what Wunder had almost years prior

He might not be the best mechanic support out there but he is the best support you can get if you have team of full talented individual. His shot call is so most of the time decide the result of the game. You can call him lucky to be in a team with a great teammate but look at damwon after him leaving the team.

It kinda depends on position, meta, player, etc. Some of the best quarter backs in American football spent no time in the gym, minimal time throwing, and most of their time studying the playbook. It doesn't mean he doesn't work hard, he just works smart.

He understands the essence, knows the goal and the key points required to achieve it in every match... basically, it's like understanding a Maths concept, any question of that concept becomes solvable

The typical saying of, "over studying/over practicing is counter productive"

As a former bronze player that constantly placed in bronze. Beryl is so correct playing the game too much just make me repeat my bad decisions, analyzing the game is more important than actually playing too often since support champs don't have crazy mechanics like mid laner champs or adc for example. Because of this now I'm sitting comfortably in Iron 1

And he is the best support that league have ever seen doesnt care about the game and still winning 2 worlds while playing phenomenal

Who needs soloq when you're a superintelligent being absorbing the game through hours of vod review?

This game has a mechanical ceiling, once your hands are good enough, the rest is knowing where you are and where to go, how to punish more than how to kill enemy champions

If your coach gives you a strategy and you can execute it, well that's pretty much it
