beryl never played bard this year. hell he never even plays ranked. and he just picks bard in game 5 of worlds finals. raw talent man. feels bad for keria he really tried his best but Beryl is just too gifted

It still amazes me how good their teamwork is. DEFT and BERYL as a support pair definitely understand each other so well. Deft first suggested Beryl to play Bard and then let him options to choose between Nautilus and Bard. Deft knows Bard is good, and so Beryl. Then it was Deft's final words "I think Bard is good for this matchup" that convinced Beryl to trust and follow his instinct. Love this duo so much!

Me as a former Bard main, I was completely screaming the moment I saw that Beryl went for the Bard pick, in the 5th game of the worlds final, when he didn't had a single bard game at that whole event.

This is pure understanding of the game, T1 had 3 squishy targets with limited mobility already.. which strangely enough it's extremely powerful at this meta. The other team can't pick some strong engaging support because they have trash lining phase which had been the main focus of both teams, and gave them really good results.
What was the answer? Bard. And enhancer support with extremely powerful ultimate to catch up squishy targets with limited mobility.
The ults from Bard were burning T1 flashes and resources all the game long.. it was everything Beryl needed to do and he did it well.
