Yes! The fact that the side characters were fleshed out was one of my favorite parts of the book. I thought they all could have their own books and it'd be interesting.

I also thought I would have to suspend my disbelief more than I did. I mean, obviously suspension of disbelief is a huge part of this book - McQuiston took a huge gamble on assuming her readers would go with her on this - but when I was in the story I just kind of went along with it. How it all got explained made sense within the world of the story so I was happy with that. I loved the side characters, more than I August and Jane tbh. Wes and Isaiah were my favourites but I also loved Niko and Myla. I love how they were all such different people but when you put them all together they work.
