If Finland don't really needs Russian power supply then(as its minsters are saying), Finnish president doesn't needs to talk with Putin.
Whether anyone likes it or not-
1. most of the EU states are heavily dependent on Russia for their energy needs.
2. Cutting all ties with Russia is not that easy.
3. With the inflation soaring worldwide, and major world economies already facing serious stagnation, such moves are only going to haunt back the EU states.

Russia is right, it’s not a war they wanted but a war that was forced on them. They tried diplomacy but nato, eu and us simply rejected all of Russian proposals. They insisted that Ukraine would join nato. Russia had little room to act, it was act now or act when they are a nato member which would cause a ww3. Hopefully Ukrainians leaders decide that it’s not wise to be the playground of elephants.

Finland and Sweden by now should have known that because of their neutralities, they have been In Peace within Europe.
If Russia wanted to invade them or create any conflict with them, Russia would have done that long time ago.
They seem not to understand that the only reason why Russia invades Ukraine is because of the Minks treaty which Ukraine has not been executed.
In today’s politics, everything is interact with everything, I don’t believe that any country would dare to invade another country without warrants.
If we look at all the conflicts after the fall of the Soviet Union, only the West/US/Nato are the only ones that invade others per theirs “rights”, the rest of the world were pretty much very quiet.
We can see that most of the world started to move away from the West/Eu, soon or later they will stand together against these two blocks, once that happens, we will either see WW3 or no war at all.
Of course, conflict will arise but not like in the past or like what happening right now in Ukraine, dialogue/disexcalation will come first.
If Finland and Sweden are smart, they will realize that all the countries which stay neutral or don’t have a big military are the countries that are very prosperous such as themselves, Switzerland, Japan, Germany and a few others.
Lastly, if we look at NATO closely, all the members are not on the same page, most if not all are following the US lead. Remember Trump wanted to pull the plug or at least didn’t want the US to be the main country to support NATO, soon another Trump if not himself will come back and screw NATO again. Then Macron has his own idea of forming a Eu military. On top of that Germany is now rebuilding its military and believe it or not, Germany will move away from NATO once its military reaches its potential.
I am an American and I am not against or I am with any country, I just give my perspective of what I see and this is only my opinion like many others opinions in this tread.
