I've been looking at getting into doing some figure drawings for awhile, but they've always seemed "out of reach" or "above my head-" always inaccessible in some way. But this really does make it look like it's something that I could do, or that I could at least try, alongside you. Thank you for making art more accessible for all of us.

yes yes yes! My high school art teacher at the beginning of class every day would have a volunteer come up and sit in the middle of the room (desks were placed in an "o" shape so that reference could be placed in the middle of the room)
we all got a charcoal stick and would have 1 minute to draw the gesture, and then 5 minutes to refine the forms.

Most of our projects weren't figure drawing related, but he always had us practice drawing from a live model. I think that's probably the MOST valuable thing he ever taught me... aside from color theory that is.
