In this video, I'll be sharing my story of how I've been living on a couch since my oldest dog passed away, getting broken up with and losing my apartment. 36, divorced exactly 1 year ago, living with my parents, got let go from my job 3 months ago. Just started started a new job making 10% less pay, no longer working from home, but I am taking it in stride. Have been working out for the past year & enjoying life while making new friends. I still have my health, pet of over 15 years, fully paid off (modest) dream car, 2nd daily driver, and both parents are alive who I have gotten to reconnect with since moving out at 18 to get sucked dry by the ex wife. Over the past year I was able to pay off all my debts & start saving for the first time in my life, and have truly caring girlfriend. Life goes on & I have learned one big lesson, comparison is the biggest thief of joy!

You know what’s the most valuable thing about this person/situation- that he even has a friend to offer their couch- the value of a friend cannot be overstated in this transactional consumer driven world we live in.

I'm 31 yrs. old as well. 6 months ago, I was going through the hardiest thing I thought one day I'll have to face. I quitted my job to pursue my dream business, not realizing that my gf has left short time after it. I never thought that she was with me for the job status or money. I was shocked when I knew that there was someone else. I begged her to stay. I'm not ashamed to say that I begged her because she meant so much to me, and we had so many dreams together. Now, business is good. My mental health is much better, I'm not a millionaire yet but I'll do my best to get there. Even if I didn't get there, I'll forgive myself and I'll be proud that I tried. If I learned one thing this year that would be: Never believe what they say, anyone can leave at any time, and if they want to leave, let them leave. Keep it up guys.

I’m 29 and single currently experiencing something very similar and although it’s uncomfortable I remind myself that it’s all apart of growth and trusting the process.
