Garrett AT Max • My Review - First Impressions • MD#68

My friend Del let me borrow his brand new Garrett AT Max for a couple of weeks to take it for a test drive. You’ll hear my first impressions of this detector. This weeks video includes a nice variety of finds ranging from colonial flat buttons and Shoe buckle parts to vintage old toys, jewelry & coins. Thanks for this video. I have using Garrett detectors for 27 years, and I keep myself using all Garrett new hunting design generations in order not to have trouble to learning new models like ATMAX. Now, I decided to by my ATMAX for me and retire my old friend GTI 2500 that I have been using it by 17 years.

You did very well with the AT Max, I really liked the die cast trucks, they were my favorites. Nice job on the rings and silver as well

Yes I'm in new York as well ..Putnam county..60 miles north of NYC..great history here..many houses over 150 years ..I have the at pro and an older Whites DFX...

I love the at max you need to just learn it I have no complaints I did upgraded the coil to the new super fly coil as soon as the warm weather comes I’ll be testing the new coil .. can’t wait 😜 .. great video .. I also own two other metal detectors but I love my at max .. my next metal detector with be the minelab ctx3030

The copper thing looks like a cloth napkin ring . The napkin would go through the center of it to keep it rolled up

Nice finds. I am thinking the copper piece may possibly be a napkin ring for cloth napkins. It's a thought. Anyway good job. Happy hunting to you.

Love the cuff ... thanks for showing us the Max  amazing that it (Max) found more coins under clothes line at one point we were tied on silvers .. I, m  still at 20 silvers Ugh ... oh well no matter great tootsies ... the Buckle is so nice ... love buttons with Back marks ... can't beat em Brian ... your buddy got a sweet silver ring and congrats on your ring Killin it ...nice sterling ring ... love the token congrats love your wrap ups

Great hunts! I've got all three of the AT series. The each have their advantages to me. I've went over places with my AT pro many many times without finding anything then one day I go over it again and find something I'd missed before. Th machine didn't miss it though most likely I didn't swing the coil over like I did when I found something. Right now the AT Gold is probably my favorite still but I do like having a built in backlight on the Max.
