When I first heard about this new change, I was PISSED. However, I had to re-evaluate my purpose and it is to have fun here on YT (I wanted to get a lil change for my fun) but it looks as that will end on the 20th. I am really concerned about the watch time hours and already thinking of ways to address it. I would be willing to support other small youtubers if they return the luv too. Thx Alicia!!

I'm glad that the changes were temporary. I got demonitize but eventually got reinstated. I was bummed at first but it forced me to be more consistent and just produce more high value content. It's still a learning curve but I'm up for a challenge.

Great video! I'm sure this is going to be an uphill task for all the struggling/small YouTubers like me to achieve the target before the grace period. Genuine creators will be hit (Of course the smaller ones). I have more than 9000 hours of views and around 900 plus subscribers. I'm little nervous now. Please suggest with your great knowledge

When I first started youtube it wasn’t about getting paid, it was something I was passionate about. I didn’t even know you could get paid for it till a couple of months later. In the grand scheme of things, when it all comes down to it, I have other life goals than sitting around working my butt off for something that may or may not become obsolete in the next few years. There really, is, no, way of knowing just how many more changes, will accrue with YT during that time. Though its a nice hobby, YouTube is obviously now making sure that those who see YT as just a small time hobby (like me) won't be even seeing any, chump change anytime soon until they make it in the hundreds of thousands of subs. Great video explaining all this, hon! I'm hoping that blogging doesn't head the same direction anytime soon with ads, as i still see blogging as a good way to earn a nice income, but for now i think ill just stop with my Yt channel. I no longer have a way to edit my vids anyway, since they took down their Editor. They really are going downhill. But, it's, cool. I'll just stick with my blog. :)

YouTube can’t shake me. I was able to make the 710 hours I needed and have passed the threshold by over 200 hours. I was so pumped. I do feel like it is rough on small youtubers but I actually like the change
