The fact you took the time to do this video on top of doing the exact build sheet with part numbers and specs. That shows you the real deal car guy. Us people that love this thing want to enjoy the same thing you have built and no one shares that much info. That is something in itself that is greatly appreciated. 🙏🏻

I like the kind of rough, no to street friendly setup. The rough idle, the noise. In a world of over sanitized, too clean pain, and cars that look more show than go, it’s refreshing.

The idea of "over building" something implies that there is a misalignment between the goal and the result of the build. Some folks like the build process, some like the driving, some like the show scene, some focus on racing/competition. The nature of the build should align with the intended use, and it can be a serious bummer if you spend a bunch of time, effort, money, and emotion on building a car one way just to find out it's not good at whatever you chose, or that it's not what you really wanted/needed. But what I infer from this video is that you have maybe changed a bit of what you want from the build since finishing this version. Nothing wrong with that. It may be exactly what you set out to build, even reaching a kind of actualized ideal. But it doesn't have to remain as-is if it can be something (you deem) better.

Add a Harrop supercharger for sbf. The truck is pretty much built for it with the 1, 000hp rated drivetrain, clutch, etc and it’ll simply just bolt on and go shred. I understand it’s a hefty price but whenever you’re ready.

Craig I have been watching your channel since day 1 and helped me finish my 1971 ford f100 sport custom and get it on the road as a daily driver I agree with you on the ideas you're talking about my truck got a long way to ho but I get lots of people telling me that they like the old truck look hello from Canada 😊

So, to answer your question at the end....yeah 👍 all of that!! If you want too. I like the fact that it's "only 500hp". I like realistic builds with streetable engines. I can't afford these 1000+ hp builds with suspension and drivetrain parts to match! 400-600hp is plenty for street applications. If you're going to the track, that's different. Nothing wrong with that. More power too you .👍👍 I love racing no matter what!
I'm a street guy and I like vehicles in the power range your truck is making.💪💪

Back in the late 80's my dad and little brother built a 352 Fe motor. 390 30 over, pistons rods, and crank. 2v heads. 4 barrel intake. All put into a 1/2 ton 4x4 long bed truck. Now that was a fun truck . 10 miles to the gallon

Craig go down the street in SD and get a gear vendors overdrive unit for it, it will keep your performance but give you the drivability you want in traffic too.

You probably should have built a 9.5" Windsor with a longer stroke, like a 408+ci so it's a little more streetable makes over 500hp and is just way smoother and easier to drive around.
