State officials investigating fatal Disneyland accident

State officials are investigating the death of a Disneyland employee who died Friday after falling off of a golf cart at the park and hitting her head, officials with the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health told KTLA.

Disney has a policy of not declaring someone dead on its property. According to some sources, if a guest or employee is injured or dies on the premises, Disney will transport them to a nearby hospital or medical facility before declaring them deceased. This is done to avoid any potential negative impact on the park’s image or reputation.
