Dumb question, im new to this editing stuff, does my key frames need to match my frame rate, which is 60frame rate. Should i leave key frame at 30?

A few points to remember:

When I as a seasoned DVR user trough several years see a video with "*ULTIMATE* Davinci Resolve *RENDER SETTINGS* Guide, I expect this to be aimed at experts. What else is the "ULTIMATE" part about it?

Audio default for high quality is not 350Kb/S but 320Kb/S (Most lossy codecs actually does not allow for rates higher than 320Kb/S, and unless you are delivering master material - which you clearly are not since you chose a .h264 codec - you don't render lossless audio.

Keep Frame Reordering ..." just because"??? ... That most CERTAINLY depends on what you are delivering for! Not "just because" - please explain WHY when you are the EXPERT doing a tutorial. Nothing in DVR is "just because". Please explain the reasons for your choices so users can follow your decision making.

You don't keep pixel aspect ratio at "Square" because it looks better than "Cinemascope". They are simply used for completely different purposes. People should definitely NOT listen to advice on pixel ratio because someone tells them that "Square" looks better. The reason you would choose "Cinemascope" is because your master is anamorphic. So if someone gets a master recorded with either digital anamorphic or lens-anamorphic footage, they should not ponder whether "Square" or "Cinemascope" looks best. They don't change anything about the render quality, but simply the aspect ratio of the rendered film. So if you render in Cinemascope when you have a timeline of masters with square pixels, your result will be a stretched movie where everything looks much longer than it should. The aspect ratio would be off because the master is NOT Cinemascope. On the other hand if you use a master coming in Cincemascope and render as Square, you would get a squashed result where everything looks like looking in a funny mirror that makes everything shorter than in the real world.

Finally - several places you seem surprised you don't get more options in dropdowns giving you choices such as framerate, codec, etc. This is not for the reasons you said, but simply because you made the fundamental error of dragging the footage to the timeline before properly setting up the project in the project settings. That would also have taken into account that most people don't have such an unrealistic scenario of only one clip on the timeline, but usually have hundreds of clips, some that they shot themselves and perhaps some stock footage, all in different resolution, aspect ratios, frame rates, etc. So the reason you suddenly cannot change the options in the deliver page is because you are stuck with whatever the parameters of the first clip you dragged to the timeline came with.

To sum this up: A channel posing as giving advice to others on how to use DVR, would at least be expected to come from someone with a formiddable background and expertise making film with DVR - and not just as a hobbyist, unless this is done in an extremely high degree of professionalism. A channel of this kind would usually present some credentials showing your education or what you have been working on in the past, so we can see what your professional background in film-making or content-creation is, to assure your audience that the content you provide is solid and based on accurate, in-depth knowledge on all the bells and whistles of DVR.
So PLEASE don't give false information, just because you don't care if people's film gets wrong. Give advice if you are an EXPERT, and just as important: If you actually are pssionate about passing on some EXPERT advice on DVR.

I apologize for this "rant", but I can see from your intro that you are an adult, so you can probably handle some constructive criticism. But to be honest I am getting more and more tired of all the click-bait that tells me that they have a very specific solution to a particular challenge in DVR, only to discover that the video is made by some child that got his first computer at Christmas and downloaded the free DVR and few months later thinks he is qualified to give advice to other DVR content creators. But because these videos are made by children I restrain myself. I can see that you are a mature adult, so I do find it acceptable to expect a certain level of professionalism when presented with "expert advice".

bro i dont know what happened to my davinci i used to edit alot and this last week its completely messed up every time i put a clip in i literally cant play it back because its so laggy i put it in quarter res and watched loads of tutorials on how to get smooth playback but even when i render it it still is laggy i uninstalled it reinstalled even tried 17 version again but still messed up do u know how to fix it ?

Xen Joshyy I have a question and I’d appreciate it if you could respond back! So each time I try to add a preset using an adjustment clip and going into the fusion tab and adding the preset, the key frames never show up, yknow the little white like indicating where the key frame was set and where it ends, do you how to fix this, or is it an issue with Davinci Resolve 18 and if so how do you downgrade to Davinci Resolve 17. Please and thank you!
