Andrew Gomez was still in college when he started his trucking business, AJG Transport. Now, he’s grown from 2 trucks to a fleet of 80 with over $1 million a month in gross revenue. He’s sharing his tips to start a trucking company with fast growth potential in this episode.

Andrew comes from an entrepreneurial family. His brother owned his own trucking business, too, and his parents had owned their own businesses before, as well, including one in the trucking industry. Their issue was that they didn’t know how to scale the company, something Andrew set about discovering when he started AJG Transport.

Even with these knowledge resources to draw on, Andrew knew starting a trucking company wouldn’t be easy. He got himself a solid start by finding a niche market delivering for Amazon and invested all his profits back into the business to drive steady growth. The company’s big breakthrough happened when Andrew started building relationships with corporate executives to land big-ticket jobs. In this interview, he’ll share his advice for how to break into the corporate world as a small business owner and the strategy that made the difference in securing these jobs for AJG Transport.

AJG Transport has been on an upward growth trajectory since it launched, but that doesn’t mean growing the company was easy. Andrew had plenty of long days and sleepless nights on his journey to building a 7-figure a month business. He’ll share the sacrifices he made to build his business, the mistakes he’s made along the way, and how he overcame those challenges to get to where he is today.

He come from a family that already owns a well established haulage firm.
It's not like he did this him self but i have huge respect for him taking on that responsibility at 17.

The problem with not disclosing he got help from his family is that a lot of young impressionable viewers get anxiety and depression thinking these something wrong wirh them for not having a trucking company at 17.

No bank will give a loan to a 17yo for a Corolla let alone for 2 trucks. Plus learning how to succeed in any industry takes time or mentorship. At 17 you simply can’t understand how things work work in the trucking industry unless you grew up in it. My bet is that he’s part of the Gomez family who owns Gomez Hauling.

So if you were feeling anxious, left behind or dumb please dont. He’s a very intelligent guy and very mature for his age, but he also had a competitive advantage that most of us dont. Find your competitive advantage or work your way to your goals. Yes it’s going ti take you more time, that you cabt change, but the sooner you focus on something the faster you will start to see results

What miracle happened that allowed a 17 year old to buy 2 trucks with zero money down?

You forgot to mention “daddy”

And it’s illegal for him to drive out of state because he’s not 21.

People need to start being transparent. You are putting something out here that may have been his reality, but not for everyone else. This young man had some help, not hating but you need to keep it real. They wouldn’t even insure you for your own authority without having a level experience. See it’s easy to read between the lines of these experts.

Dude definitely grew up around a business oriented family you can tell just by the way he speaks and the knowledge he has. I hope he does well.

Let's all call BS. People need to give their parents credit / there's nothing wrong with having parents that were successful and you used their success as a platform for your own.

His family owns Gomez Hauling so I can see that playing a huge factor (obtaining Insurance & the trucks) Regardless good for him 👍

As a trucker myself and a small fleet owner, I'm amazed and proud of his accomplishment

I think it takes away from this story to not tell the part of the story where his family set him up and got him started. He is still an impressive young man. Just be honest with your viewers and tell the whole story. People don't like omissions or obfuscations of relevant facts.

Wow. This is amazing. The fact that this "kid" knows who Jim Rohn is and has gotten so much wisdom from hasn't even been alive during this kids life. WOW. That's impressive.

Not everyone comes from a family with multi millions to back up a 17 year old. While I'm happy to see this kid getting it done, this is hardly something anyone else could even hope to obtain.

Men, this is amazing, this kid is a Mover and a phenomenon for not only his generation, did you hear him speak? Did you hear his inspiration sources and mentors? That is the killer!!

How did he do it?
He didn't, that's how... Not at 17 he didn't, a 17 year old can't legally enter into a binding contract. So either he didn't, or it was under a parents name. Plain and simple. Now stop lying for views.

So many people in their teen years (myself included) don’t think about their future, or they think “I want to be wealthy” but aren’t making a plan to get there. People need to realize that they can start really young and be successful very early in their lives, just like this young man. Entrepreneurship consists of going out and doing it, don’t just sit there and be wishing, then you start asking “how does a 17yrs old purchase two trucks ” just like most people in this comment section. If only I knew the things I know today, at the age of 17. Maybe this video will give a young person motivation to start their own business early on and become successful early. You don’t have wait till 4ty to get sense! Life is not a joke.

Tires fuel insurance. Maintenance repairs. One tire is like $500 you have 10 on a horse and steers have to be new no recaps so they cost more. If you have trailers they have 8. Truck holds like 300 gallons so $1200 to fill gonna fill every other day at minimum so 6 to 800 every other day. Insurance is high. Amazon isn’t known for paying well either. Driver wants $1800 a week at minimum
