4-Year-Old Girl Killed by Missile in Ukraine Laid to Rest

The cries of grief echoed through a village in Ukraine as a young victim of the war was laid to rest. Video of Liza Dmytrieva, 4, was taken by her mom and posted to Instagram just moments before the little girl’s death. They were walking through the town of Vinnytsia when officials say a Russian cruise missile hit. Liza’s body was found next to the stroller. Her mother was found alive, but with her leg severed. This is so sad. They haven’t even told the mother that child is gone, yet they already held the funeral for her. It’s horrible knowing your child is gone, but can’t imagine the feeling of not going to your little girls funeral.

this is so sad. losing a child and your legs in such a traumatic way. i wouldn’t have a funeral for my child unless i was able to be there so i could at least see them one last time. Rip Liza❤️

“She has not been told of her daughters death as it is feared that she will not survive hearing the news” I’m torn because I would be furious that no one told me my daughter died. But at the same time, I think it’s reasonable to deduct that the news would kill her. I lost (six years ago) this little boy I knew, had a heart condition, and he died. And I was struck with grief I’ve never felt before. And that was for a little boy I shared no blood with. I couldn’t imagine the shock and heart attack that would ensue finding out I survived but my precious daughter didn’t. Rest now, little one. Rest in paradise.
