This film is a masterpiece one of the best, Mia Goth is outstanding from her dance audition where she looks so eager to please that she almost looks deranged, to the monologue with misty, what a performance, to the ending when Howard comes home and her face almost pleading to know what his reaction is to how bad she has been . I loved X but this film, what can I say excellent, can't wait for Maxine.i loved the way this was filmed the colour grading the stylisation all perfect .costumes perfect, casting top notch and I do hope Mia Goth and Ty West(and all involved) get the recognition they deserve for this film .

Pearl is one of the best horror movies I have ever watched. Such a unique, intriguing, and emotional horror film that properly builds tension and is genuinely chilling to the core.

Definitely the best acting I have ever seeing from Mia Goth, and imo Ti West's best movie to date. An absolute must watch for fans of true horror. Every horror director should be taking notes. This is how it's done.

I just watched "X" and I didn't realise until I looked up a few details about it since it really got me thinking after it finished, because it was so f**kin' awesome! That it has a prequel and a planned sequel... A horror movie has no right being THIS good. Wow!

It is original, fun, gory, well written and acted
There is a tension to it and you really get the feel of this deranged farm girl
Do yourself yourself favour and watch it

I brought it on dvd the other week and have watched it 4 times it's just incredible from the colours the costume designs not forgetting the acting talent of Mia 🙏 and whoever played her mum in the film was 👌

This movie is really a character study of Pearl with horror/slasher elements attached.
Despite being a one trick pony playing the exact same *Jack Nicholson's touched wife in The Shinning* esque type character in every movie that she's in, Mia Goths performance as Pearl is just off the freakin' Richter scale mind-blowing phenomenal, I mean shove an Oscar into her hand already. To give you some idea, Mia Goths performance is right up there with Kathy Bates in Misery just jaw-dropping throughout. The way Mia Goth played this touched a few sandwiches short of a picknick character without it being a parody performance getting us the audience to truly believe her dillusionality just like Toni Collette as Muriel in Muriel's Wedding just has to be seen to be believed. This movie totally hinges on Mia Goths performance where we the audience are like How on earth did she deliver that unnerving too good for comfort insanely method performance? Seriously Mia Goths performance has to be seen to be believed! And if like me you relish in top notch astonishing method performances on the big screen where the actor/actress removes their celebrity mask and totally embodies the character, do not miss Mia Goths performance as Pearl in the cinema..
