I also recently learned from another video that a modern Chicxulub asteroid would destroy most if not all of the 400+ nuclear reactors around the world. That would pollute the surface with tons of radioactive debris for thousands and thousands of years

Fish, reptiles, amphibians, birds, small mammals, plant life and insects all survived. If they made it, so would we, with our intelligence, resourcefulness, underground structures and ability to grow things indoors.
