I went vegetarian almost two years ago and my hair seriously started falling out. I went to a nutritionist a few months ago and we started logging my food and realized I was getting very little protein and fat in my diet. I've added protein shakes with chia seeds and a whole bunch of other forms of protein and my hair is now back to normal.

Split ends can't be fixed, the only way they can be stopped is by cutting them off.

I find however often I wash my hair, is how often I need to wash my hair. So when I was washing it everyday I needed to wash it every day as it was so greasy. I now only wash it once a week and that is all it needs :)

Niomi u said "Quinoa has SUCH a lot of protein".. but Actually it has very little protein (especially the the amount of calories u would need to consume). Only about 7.5 grams per WHOLE Cup.. Tempeh & Tofu however have SO much more protein, 20 Grams per only HALF Cup... MORE than Double for HALF the amount... even Kidney beans have 13 Grams per Cup...making Quinoa packing NOT so much protein for the volume u must eat. Just an FYI for anyone who wants to know.

basically I do the same thing but I recommended to all of you ladies to use wooden brush, it makes a lot of differences for your hair. Wooden brush absorbs natural oil from your hair and when you brush it through it spreads the natural oil from your hair and from the brush.

washing your hair with cold or not so hot water is a lot better for your hair, if you dye your rinsing with cold water will seel the colour in and make it last longer

"I don't know how it works" - Well, blowing the hair out really covers split ends. And the product is putting them in place and making your hair shiny. There is no way to actually repair split ends. You can either chop them off or make them lay flat against each other so that you can't see them unless you search for them.
This video is all about how to make you hair LOOK healthy, not be healthy. And this is fine, everyone needs a little bit of extra help once in a while.

The only way to get rid of split ends is to cut them. You can't "repair" them

Tips I've learnt for offensively soft hair and no split ends (so much so it took 10 months without seeing a hairdresser before I started to get any):
Brush your hair before you get in the shower so then you can gently brush it whilst the Conditioner is in.
Put a hair serum in when your hair is wet (I use salon professionals gold one and the aussie one)
Never use heat on your hair
I use aussie 3 min miracle just about every time I was my hair and I leave it in for as long as possible
I used to use the Charles Worthington melting balm which gave me the softest hair so now I am looking for a replacement
Tie your up loosely quite a bit to stop wind damaging your hair
Coconut oil has never been as good as other hair masks I have tried
Never towel dry your hair. I just give it a quick squeeze in the towel and then put the towel across my shoulders
Rinse your hair with cold water at the end of the shower (generally a good tip for stopping your boobs going south as well)

Other things I still need to try:
Silk pillows
Vitamins with vitamin K in etc designed for hair and nails
Cotton shirt to dry your hair
Pureology shampoo for coloured hair

I actually never thought that French braiding your hair before bed would prevent knots. I only did it because it makes my hair smoother. Thanks for the tips and advice, Niomi!

I never dry my hair with a towel I always use an old shirt because it's more gentle on your hair 😊

What my Peruvian mom does:
Boil the quinoa. Choose your preferred amount and blend it with milk and sugar (in a blender or whatever you use). I like it cold and to me it's just like a milkshake although it is more dense. It's a good breakfast choice because quinoa is full of good stuff for your body and it just helps you wake up and start the day.
