Difference between Tesla 4680 and 2170 Battery

The first notable difference between the 4680 and 2170 batteries is the size.
4680 means 46 millimetres wide by 80 millimetres long, while 2170 means 21 millimetres wide by 70 millimetres long. The greater size allows for more
electrical storage, which means 5 times more energy density and 6 times more power resulting in an extended range of up to 16% compared to 2170
batteries. The tables 4680 battery also have an improved cell structure and design, and it is cheaper to produce. 4680 is packed cylindrically, leading to a reduction in electrical path within each cell, bringing about safer and faster charging.

The 4680 is 4.8X the volume of a 2170 cell, so the 5X energy is a “No shit sherlock”. The 20-25% increase in power is nice.
