Tesla 4680 VS Solid-State Battery

Tesla 4680 is a new and advanced battery technology that allows for more
electrical energy storage, thus, reducing range anxiety. The 4680 battery
technology also offers a shorter path for electron flow, resulting in shortened
charge time. Conversely, a solid-state battery uses a solid electrolyte rather than a liquid electrolyte like 4680. A solid-state battery promises safer and faster charging with better energy storage density. Still, it has problems with the charging cycle as it tends to fail after repeated charging and discharging, leading to packing failure. They also have issues with their scale and manufacturing cost. Right now, 4680 batteries are a viable solution until battery manufacturers can commercially produce solid-state batteries.

BYD has developed a blade battery that does not explode when compromised and has many more safety advantages in cooling and charging. It’s here on YouTube if you want to research it.

I think once the 4680 batteries are released it's going to be a lot better then solid-state

The issue with the 4680 is that the range is only between 300-400. And it does not charge in 15 min, It charges 200 miles in 12 min. Solid state batters charge fully in 15 min. So 4680 is not good.

Bogus. Solid state battery is proven to have longer life and much higher number of recharge cycles.

Fail. Round batteries are 21.50% inefficient by design compared to square batteries.

Better watch out for toyota! They are developing a solid state battery and are already testing! Unlike tesla you know toyota will build it right!
