My mother and I had the great privilege to meet Brendan Fraser at Fan Expo in Toronto. He was a true gentleman. He listened to my mother's story about her own back surgery and problems (it is something he struggles with too). He was extremely kind and sympathetic. He gave her a big hug, held her hands, and thanked her for coming to see him.

Until this video I had no idea Brendan's character was gay.
Until this comments section I had no idea this movie was about anything other than a guy trying to reconnect with his daughter.
It's as if the marketing people know the movie will tank if they find out it's actually all about gay guys hating religion.

I just watched the movie earlier this afternoon. The ending made me so emotional I cried in my theatre seat (I even had to hold myself back a little to avoid making a scene). The people complaining about this movie have completely missed the point. This movie will *increase EMPATHY* toward obese people. No one gets that obese without becoming addicted to food like a drug. In the movie, Brendan's character Charlie is suffering with the death of someone he loved, and more importantly, his estrangement from his beloved daughter. Addiction, whether it be to drugs or gambling or food, comes from pain, hopelessness, and lack of connection.

as a fat man who is 6'4 430 lbs i feel deeply related to the feelings of resentment shown by charlie. it was authentic. thats all i care about. inside the mind of a fat person, it needs to be shown as real as possible. because it is an issue, theres no bravery or love for being fat, it comes with self hate among many issues, this film helps a lot more than it harms.

Frasier was easily the perfect fit for this role. This film is what America needs to see right now, and as a film student at university, it has reignited my passion for cinema

Aww I was so excited for Brendan’s return. So obviously the first chance they give him is to see if he bends the knee. He did, and the left still ate him.
I’ll go see him if he’s in a good non political movie
