The Car Market is FLOUNDERING and Dealerships are SCREAMING it!

The car market has been in a steady downward spiral over the last 10-11 months. The market is crashing and dealers are showing clear signs. Between insane inventory levels across the US, massive discounts to move inventory, 0% incentivized interest rates left and right and the TYPE of vehicles dealerships are choosing to put on their lots.. All signs point toward a car market crash. What say you? I've never seen so many $20-35K vehicles on dealership lots until now. They know people are struggling... Dealers know people can't afford those expensive cars right now, they just can't in this economy. So what are they doing? Selling CHEAP cars to people. The AVERAGE new vehicle sale price in the US in 2024 is $47,455. That's UP from $36,500 back in 2019. MSRPs have spiked across the board 36% since 2019. Car prices are just a SMALL part of the problem too. Mortgages, rents, groceries, insurance, etc... Everything has gotten out of reach for Americans.

I think right now is the best time to buy a new vehicle because YOU are in the DRIVER SEAT. You control the deal entirely, you have loads of vehicles to choose from and can negotiate a stellar deal right now, several thousand dollars off MSRP and great interest rates.

Let me know your thoughts on the current car market. Do you see things getting better near you? Or worse? What types of vehicles are you seeing on your local dealership lots?

Trucks, full-size or mid-size, are still stupidly overpriced even with discounts.

Lowering prices doesn’t mean it is a stellar deal. It means it is a little less than insane.

Now is not the time to buy - it's still time to wait and drive home the message that consumers will not continue to be taken advantage of by dealerships and car manufacturers.

My Tacoma is only 5 years old and I can’t believe I’m saying…
“they don’t build them like they use too”

I put a downpayment for a hybrid Tacoma 6 months before its release for sale. when i went to the dealers lot to check it out: the rear seat has no legroom considering it’s a midsize 4 door truck, mpg isn’t that good, don’t know why they didn’t just keep the v6 and add the hybrid in it instead of the turbo 4 cyl. for that, i cancelled my purchased and took back my downpayment

$715.00 dollars a month is a stellar deal? Omg! What has this world come too?

The car market has almost gone back to normal when it comes to inventory yet prices are higher than COVID times.

Was at my dealer for service on my '18 Tacoma... Couple days before appointment I get a text, email, and call from the dealer saying someone is going to want to speak to me about purchasing my vehicle. I explained I was not interested. Well sure enough a salesman comes over to me anyway and it took me 3 different ways of telling him I just wasn't interested... Meanwhile, the lot is overflowing with new Tacoma's and tundras. Sort of felt bad for the salesman to be that desperate... Didnt feel bad for my wallet tho! Vote with your wallet is the best policy!!!

I just bought a 2015 4Runner SR5 premium 4wd, w/ 100k miles for 24k. Excellent condition inside and out. For my 18 yr old daughter. I still feel better about this buy than buying a new Chevy Trax/Trailblazer for around same price.

94k for a Ford explorer? 93k for an F250? Talk about disconnected from reality.

They keep telling us the economy is great but most of us know it's not. Long gone are the days of $500 apartments, $1.50 gas and going to the grocery store, filling your shopping cart and walking out under $100... I don't know many people who can afford a $80k truck, even a $30k car is a big stretch for most people.

Keep up the good work, telling the truth will always outweigh fanboy YouTubers. Love how you break things down and back it up through the lens of the camera.

Even if I got an EV for free it would not serve my purposes efficiently.

I wouldn’t buy a Bronco no matter what discounts they give. If you want to see lots of Broncos, go to the service center waiting to get fixed.
