7 REVERSE CULTURE SHOCKS: From Germany back to America! (CBYX)

I've been noticing things which I found strange that Americans do after living in Germany. I am adjusting to life in the USA after 8 months abroad and I have definitely noticed huge differences between Germans and Americans. But I am happy to be back home and I miss Germany!!!!

Look for a Lidl. It has one. Not as much selection, but helps. Miss the bakeries, mass transit, price on tag is what you pay, as well.

I had the first culture shock too, but reverse, after 10 month of being in Kentucky as an exchange student. It was so weird to hear German at the airport in Frankfurt again.

Hi Lily, just randomly came accross your video. It seems you had a nice time here Germany, hopefully. For your number 6 it doesnt mean germans are not friedly of course. Well, they behave to stranger mostly reserved but if you are known they will greet you of course and once you are in friendship them it will hold for the rest of your life. For your numer 7 don believe germans are not patriotic. If we would do similar showing our flag everywhere the whole world will fingerpoint to us and questioning that it will start again ? I mean times before and during WW2 . At least I hope you have learned a lot, have a different view to Germany and germans and somehow you can participate on those experiences for your own future. Being 'patriotic' makes them myopic. As far as western countries are concerned you are in the bottom half of them. You, as a country, top the list in only a few: Gun ownership, people who believe angles are real, and patriotism.
