Is this the new top Rohan army? Today we examine the Host of Thengel!

So the day has fiunally come. Today I’ll be revealing the full details my greatest discovery! The new ROHAN META. We’ll do a deep dive into my list building, and I’ll be taking them to a tournament here in QLD to try and shake ouyt the cobwebs and see iof I can remember how to roll dice.

Your enthusiasm for this game is totally infectious! I'm almost done with painting the Evil half of the starter box; I'm really looking forward to getting started on the Rohirrim (though I'm definitely doing more Mordor in the future! What can I say... I just think orcs and trolls are cool). My wife is into 40k and is going to try playing MESBG as long as I paint all the models (she paints slowly and they're not Space Marines so inherently less interesting I guess). Seeing detailed, enthusiastic content really helps keep my "painting morale" high.

So Lachie, you've brought us a soup list.
Anyway, as requested, my thoughts are to maybe add in the White Wizard, Saruman, who has not yet abandoned reason for madness (Gandalf the White profile), to solve the magic problem. It will change the list to a more control based style than a beat stick, but it should provide a better counter to some armies that give you trouble. It'd be a shame not to use that awesome Thorongil conversion though.
I also like the idea of a young Erkenbrand rather than Grimbold's dad. His horn adds 2+, he gets heroic march, has better defence and he unlocks the Redshields option so you can split off riders with him and get the banner benefits. He's not as killy, but his buffs are better. I think riders are under-utilised these days, the sneaky bow shots when holding an objective can come in handy, and four to six with Erkenbrand could add some versatility.
Other than that, your conversions look great, it is a really cool army. Keep up the quality content mate, and all the best to you and your family for Chrissy and the New Year.

Greetings from Europe, I love how you squeezed your army into this "old rohan" theme. And you got something with playing Aragorn as Thorongil, now GW really has to give you a profile for him (basically Aragorn Elessar but without Anduril and maybe a throwing spear would be perfect)
