I bought the light sabres for my brother for Christmas. We reenacted the Anakin Dooku fight and my brother has no hands now. Really great product. Cant recommend it enough

“You turned her against me” and “you will not take her from me” makes so much more sense now. Always wondered why Anakin said that.

That revelation that Palps implied that Obi-Wan was involved with Padme is stunning. That explains why Annie acted like he caught her cheating when he saw him on Mustafar.

We need a 4 hours extended cut for this movie.

Give Ian McDiarmid his flowers. He played Chancellor Palpatine to perfection. Cold and calculating with just a subtle hint of intentional campiness that feigned vulnerability of the character.

The part where anakin is manipulated into thinking obi wan is trying to steal his shorty also explains the line before the mustafar fight scene when anakin says “YOU WILL NOT TAKE HER FROM ME”

The more I learn about ROTS deleted scenes, the more I think: “WHY THE FORCE DID THEY NOT PUT THAT IN THE MOVIE?!” They honestly deleted some of the best parts.

I know everyone knows this, but I’ll just say it again, Sidious/Palpatine is just so delightfully evil. He’s absolutely loving it and it just resonates through the film’s brilliantly.

It is what makes Anakin Skywalker's fall all the more tragic. A lot of SW feels like a Greek tragedy.

I really never understood why Lucas deleted that entire subplot. It made the story so much more cohesive and like you said tied it to the original in a much clearer way. Plus, it is more believable that Anakin would fall to darkness over the fear and jealousy of those he loved betraying him, even if it wasn't true, than purely over politics.

I would love to see an extended cut of Revenge Of The Sith in particular. With all deleted and unfinished scenes put back.

This makes that passionate "I hate you" line from when anakin was burned and rolling on the ground make so much more sense now. He thinks the man he trusted most went behind his back and took his wife physically then left him scarred and burned.

Those last 2 deleted scenes, where he tries to turn obiwan and padme against him, are monumental to the rest of the movie, literally 0 clue as to why they'd cut them. Incredible scenes

I always felt there was just something missing from the plot. Some extra extra motivation was needed for Anakin to turn to evil. These scene make the plot make so much more sense.

Anakin goes from being a bratty teenager that was not allowed on the council, to a decorated and well established war hero that was denied something that was deservedly his.

Palpatine turned his “Brother” against him and that makes the final duel so much more intense. Great video essay!

When Anakin is talking to Padme on Mustafar and he sees Obi Wan on the shuttle, he says "you're with him. You bought him to kill me". Makes sense now.

The scene in the RotS novelization where Palpatine gradually coaxes Anakin to admit what he truly wants while playing on his trust and frustrations and Palpatine slowly reveals his true identity as the sun sets behind him, slowly showing his face go into shadow is perhaps the most perfectly structured scene that for the life of me I can't fathom why Lucas cut.

WHY THE F**K DID THEY CUT ALL THIS OUT? As many have pointed out, a lot of Hayden's lines and choices make way more sense now. By cutting all of this, it made it seem as if Hayden was a bad actor, making weird choices. It also made the script feel oddly written...they shot themselves in the foot with this and screwed over Hayden in the process. Glad he's had a chance to come back and "redeem" himself.

Damn, Ian's acting even in these deleted scenes is just amazing. I don't think we'll ever have another live action Palpatine as good as him.

How was anyone so blind as to not see how important these dialogs are to the story?
Killing the younglings is still a huge stretch, but a lot of other things fall into place.

The deleted scenes really do tie things together, now it makes far greater sense. Thank you for the video!
