Catholic apologist argues that Islam is not closer to Judaism as claimed by the Rabbi because Islamic scriptures rebukes the Jews for their wrongdoing but this is exactly what we find in the Jewish scriptures themselves.

Even Rabbi Tovia pointed this out that Qur'an curses the Jews for violating the laws of God whilst Paul in the New Testament teaches not to follow the Law of Moses because the laws of God are a curse!

Let's compare the core doctrine of each Abrahamic faith:

*Judaism:* God is One

*Islam:* God is One

*Christianity:* God is three divine persons


*Judaism:* God is not a man

Then there is also Jewish law Halakha and the Islamic law Shariah which are very similar if not identical but there are no God's laws in Christianity because Jesus did not brought a new law but instead followed the Law of Moses which was later abolished by Paul.

Still they wonder why Jews think that Islam is much more closer to Judaism than Christianity.

Tovia is right. Jews are even permitted to worship in a mosque. Why? Because Islam is monotheistic, whereas Christianity is idolatry, which is what you see inside a church, idols, statues, images.

Other Rabbis also believes what Rabbi Tovia Singer said here and great Jewish Scholar Maimonides.,
They said clearly Jews can pray in Mosque but not in Church.

The irony is is that in the gospel of Mark Jesus is clearly Unitarian because he recites the prayer God is one, which is a later Jewish development because he's calling that a commandmenti; and the actual commandment is you shall have no other gods before me, which really implies you can have lower Gods beneath me but no God over me. That's the most generous way of describing it, in Hebrew a proper literal translation would be put no other God on my face, which to be a singer and many Muslims rightly point out that Jesus is plastered over whatever God would be. Which is really interesting too because the real Trinity in Christianity is actually Jesus Mary and the cross
