In Sweden you are allowed to burn ANY book you want as long as you own it, but I can also guarantee you that nearly every Swede would disagree/condemn the burning of any book as well. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should!

Im part of the Jewish community in Sweden and i know for sure both the Rabbi and the Jewish community is strongly against burning the Quran. We been outspoken against it since he started. Burning the Torah would only make less support for the muslims. Im sure the muslim community in Sweden knew this and did the right thing and stopped this. They know We are not the enemy and its pointless to offend allies to ”prove a point”

I am a Turkish Muslim and don't see a problem with someone burning any religious books. You can't damage a religion by burning its book. What matters is the contents of the book. Also, if you have a desire to burn a book, that means you are full of hatred, and probably this hatred is damaging nothing but your own health.

I can say with confidence, the majority Muslim, 99% of us, condemn any sort of ill intend damages to a scripture that other faith highly regards, including the torah.

I like the unity here of Jews, Christians and Muslims all attesting to the respect and condemnation of the burning of any holy book. Peace be with all of you.

It’s hilarious that people OUTSIDE of Sweden talking about Swedish LAWS.😂 I’m from Sweden, and I can confirm that no religion what so ever, are immune to criticism. Therefore it’s not just Islam that can be publicly demonstrated against, Torah and the Bible can also be publicly criticized and attacked without its being illegal.

For us Muslims, all Ibrahamic prophets and books are part of our faith. We can't keep the faith by disrespecting any of the prophets. Even though we believe that other books have been altered by people, but we believe that they still have word of God left in it. Burning or disrespecting them in any way would get you kicked out of Islam instantly.

You totally Twisted the story. The Muslim man said "I will never burn this since it is Sacred to us too", that was the entire premis of his protest to show that Muslims don't burn Holy Books, he literally said it !
