Hello friend, welcome back to my kitchen. Today I'm sharing 4 Frugal meals that use only a few basic ingredients but are still packed full of flavor, their sure to please just about anyone and can be accomplished on a small budget and limited time. When cooking on a small budget, learning to cook from scratch is a must. Not only will it save you money, but it’s healthier for you too. During tough times you have to make every penny count and I'll share some tips on how I do that in the kitchen.

Kelsey

Loved this video. I was cooking for my family during the summer at 13 years old. My Momma was trying to finish her teaching degree by going to college in the summer so I had to cook because she had to stay during the week in the town where she went to school. Bless my Daddys heart he ate what I cooked even though I know it wasn't always very good. He never said a word. He just ate it and encouraged my picky brother and sister to eat it. Yes, I would love another video like this one. Bless your sweet family.

You hit the nail on the head. I am 69 years old, and cook like my grandma did… I crave the old ways and think how much this generation is missing out on by not having interest. The art will die with me, since I have no children, but learning young, I have had a long wonderful life in the kitchen and no one leaves my house hungry! They always take the leftovers😜I have so enjoyed these recipes! You are an old soul and a blessing to us all. 🙏🏻

I passed down some of these skills to one of my daughters and while she was in Germany at an Army base she was able to help other young wives and mothers. She told me I'm so glad that you taught me these things. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. You, I'm sure are an inspiration to many.

Cooking from scratch is a life survival skill. So many younger people I know have no idea what to do with whole foods. Im 66 years old, and I grew up cooking the way you do. Kudos 👏 to you for embracing the knowledge of your Grandmothers and others.

When I saw the cream dried beef I suspected you were from my area but when you pulled out the cabbage and egg noodles I KNEW.

I cook and bake mostly from scratch. I watch a lot of these kinds of videos. I’m on social security and it’s just me, so I’m always interested in ways of saving money. I have about $200 a month which I consider discretionary spending as it includes a lot of things, including “groceries”, or, food plus paper products, cleaning products, hygiene and health products and anything else that comes up that isn’t in the budget. I have made it a habit of only shopping once a month when my income is generated. Anyway, none of that is important. As I said, I watch lots of these kinds of videos, but i thought yours was particularly good, so, yes, I’d watch more like this.

I'm 66 and absolutely love your recipe sharing. Please continue your recipes. I was raised by Old Order Amish grandparents who left during Rumspringa. I never quit learning. I love your soft, gentle presentation. Blessings be upon you and your family.

Having been married to a woman who thought cooking was demeaning "woman's work, " I was the cook for many years and I learned from helping my mother.

The young moms need this channel. Losing their food cards makes it necessary to learn how to cook. On a budget.
