Megatron and the heroic Decepticons battle the evil forces of the Autobots in a twisted tale by Danny Lore and Guido Guidi. That's more than meets the eye! Many kilocycles after the Cybertronian War destroyed Earth, tyrannical Autobots dominate their homeworld, and the freedom-fighting Decepticons struggle to survive. Blurr, an Autobot bodyscrapper, seeks his next bounty: Starscream, who is carrying valuable information that could reignite the war! Meanwhile, a guilt-ridden Megatron weighs the choice of whether to continue fighting at the risk of losing what little they have left. And when Megatron and Starscream find themselves in the sights of a twisted Autobot warlord and his top lieutenant, the world will be left in shards!

A couple mistakes I made is I pronounce Orion's name wrong and call Ravage "Ravager"

My one complaint about shattered glass is that they should keep their morals and ethics but just be evil about them: for example autobots will be evil and fight for hierarchy while helping evil humans, while deceptions fight for class equality while still trying to resist evil humans

Starscream was a Decepticon scientist before the war, in BOTH timelines. He really WAS a scholar. The problem was that the cartoon portrayed him as a stupid buffoon.

Kind of wish Optimus Prime was named Ominous Prime. The Deceptions should be named Decenticons.

This just disturbed me... because the story of Autobots vs Decepticons have swapped... that means Primus, the benevolent creator, is now the destroyer. And they are all standing on him. But that means Unicron, the destroyer, is the transformer's creator in shattered glass.

What makes SG Starscream is cool for me is that he uses swords as his Main Weapon. He rarely uses his Rifle to fight Autobots.

This actually Embodies his Loyalty, Bravery and Selfless Personality to save Cybertron. This also applied to Armada Starscream, he rarely uses a gun and favors his Wing Blade to fight unlike his Counterparts who uses their Energy Rifles as their Primary Weapon.

So if you see a Version of Starscream use a Sword, this means his Loyal to the Deceptions, he wants to be a leader by earning it, Head Strong and Unrelenting in Combat.

OG Starscream was always an intellectual character....he was legitimately a scientist

What I want to know is why it was never made into a cartoon? Or even a crossover with prime and TFP megatron looking at SG megatron and wonder "Why is he the mirror of who I was? Of who I should of been? How did I go so far from my dream?" But all Optimus was thinking "your the image of who I believe is still in him"

And starscream just weirded out by how nice and loyal SG starscream is to SG megatron but also freaking out by how nice this guy is.

*The heroic Decepticons* (lead by the miner turned revolutionary, Megatron) do whatever they can to defeat *the evil & corrupt Autobot Imperium* (lead by the tyrannical & power hungry Optimus Prime).

Actually in one episode of G1, the episode in which Skyfire/Jetfire was actually introduced, it's mentioned that Starscream used to be a scientist before the war, and this was also incorporated into his depiction in the game Transformers: War For Cybertron, so it's not really that weird.

Also in regards to Ratbat there are actually numerous sentient animal Transformers, such as Laserbeak, Buzzsaw, Ravage, Ramhorn, Steeljaw, Stripes, and more, though them being sentient or just Cybertronian animals is very inconsistent through different depictions of the characters.

Also Orion is pronounced "Oh-ry-on" not "Oh-ree-on".

This also isn't the first Shattered Glass series, Fun Publications did their own throughout the decade and a half that they made the comics for the (formerly official) convention Botcon.

Lore wise it fits. The decepticons were the slave class of the planet and the autobots were the ruling class.

Goldbug got my respect the only ppl he lost too was the 2 strongest in the show optimus and megatron not counting primus and unicron

in normal transformers, goldbug is basically bumblebee's evolution, kinda like twincast is for blaster. technically, the same goes for sg goldbug, it's just that in this comic, we never get to see sg bee as sg bee, it's just outright sg goldbug

There’s something about Heroic Decepticons that actually feels… pleasant, like, a more nicer and friendlier Megatron who cared his soldiers, a Starscream who respected Megatron and genuinely cared about him
