china's greediness loses their simple common sense. How come they own the Spratly Islands and scarborough Shoal? Which in fact they just known about it during 1940's. Since Tang dynasty(1098 AD) all ancient maps of china all saying that their southern most territory is Hainan. Thousand years ago! china don't know about the "Panacot island" now called "Scarborough shoal" and the Los Bajo's de Paragua now called Spratly's island. "The Philippines has the oldest legitimate map (since 1734) so china's 10 dash line is delusional.

Thank you for reporting the news honestly. Our Coast Guard and Navy is trying it's best to avoid war. We don't want to be blamed in case something goes wrong. We know China has allies and supporters in ASEAN and they would not hesitate to condemn us. Betrayal inside ASEAN is a possibility. I'm not going to mention names but just look at the other ASEAN countries and you would know who has bended-over to China. They would rather be lapdogs than a sovereign nation. It's funny that for years they have been calling the Philippines a lapdog of the U.S. but in reality it is not the case. We have condemned the U.S. on multiple occassions and we even pulled out our troops in Iraq. The U.S. was pissed. The same can't be said for some of our neighbors. I watched an interview of an ASEAN leader and he was asked a question about the Philippines and China. Based on his answers, it is very clear who he supports. He seems to blame us for asking our ally for help. No mention of our EEZ or international law. They know China is violating every law on the book and yet they don't care. Maybe because majority of them are of Chinese ethnicity. They are scared shitless to lose business with China. Many don't care till China controls one of the major waterway and trade route here in Asia. If you think inflation now is bad, wait for a war here ASEAN. It will be more devastating than UKRAINE. I guarantee it. Now you know why we are trying our best to avoid a shooting war with China. It's not about being afraid. We are not strangers to war and you all know it. We really don't want to drag the world into another World War and that's the truth.
