China releases own video of sea collision in West Philippine Sea | ABS-CBN News

The Chinese coast guard released videos on Sunday (October 22) showing its vessel blocking a Philippine boat supplying forces in the West Philippine Sea.

China's coast guard said in a statement the Philippine vessel had ignored repeated warnings, crossed the bow of the Chinese ship and "deliberately provoked trouble," causing the collision.

Manila responded by condemning "in the strongest degree" the "dangerous blocking maneuvers" of the Chinese vessel.

Beijing claims sovereignty over almost the entire South China Sea, including parts of the exclusive economic zones of the Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, Brunei and Indonesia. The Permanent Court of Arbitration in 2016 said China's claims had no legal basis.

For those unaware

The second video is edited poorly where the Chinese ship is shakey towards the camera and inconsistent compared to the smaller vessel staying stable on camera as if they are not in the same video or plain of existence.

If a Chinese 10cent troll says otherwise, ignore them. The Philippines has every right to retaliate or defend their sovereign territory.

Carefully examine the video closely and zoom in to compare the two ships

Ayungin Shoal is 105 nautical miles from Palawan. This is within PH Exclusive Economic Zone. Under UNCLOS Philippines has the exclusive right to exploit the resources there. While China may navigate through the Philippine EEZ, proper marine safety regulations should be observed to avoid collisions. Hopefully these incidents are resolved peacefully.

China’s territorial claims to the Philippine EEZ have no basis under UNCLOS, which they ratified, and is also affirmed by the 2016 Permanent Court of Arbitration Arbitral Ruling.

Correct me if I'm wrong pero sa pagkakaintindi ko, hinarang ng CCG yung supply boat. Nahtuloy tuloy na lang yung supply boat kasi ayaw na magpaharang at akala hindi namn sasabit kung haharurot. Tas ito namng Chinese hindi rin akalain na haharurot yung supply boat kasi ayaw na magpaharang kaya naaksidente. Hindi humarurot yung suppl boat para magpasadyang magpasagasa sa CCG at mag paawa sa media. Hindi pinakita yung buong video nung china kasi makikita na inaagrabyado nila Pilipinas
