There is absolutely nothing new in this video, so it's not really helpful. The doctor they interview gives no real specifics on various treatment options, including active surveillance. Was hoping for more...

Active surveillance they said, you have years they said. I said no I want HIFU refer me out. Six months later the new doc wanted another biopsy with MRI guidance, and what do you know… instead of one mass “the size of a dime”, there were two. One “as big as a nickel, and one the size of a quarter”. And the doctors shrugged and said “that shouldn’t happen, you don’t have small cell carcinoma”. Question everything, careful who you trust, remember medicine is also a business. If a particular doctor doesn’t offer water vapor ablation or HIFU, they aren’t likely to recommend it.
And if they don’t want to sedate you for biopsy, get another doctor, I highly recommend female doctors, male doctors tend to have the no big deal/you can handle it attitude. The first biopsy they took 19 samples, he just told me it’s “well tolerated by most men”.

This has been well known for some time concerning low grade prostate cancer.

Biopsy is essential for spreading tumor cells outside the field of treatment thereby insuring they survive initial treatment and increase long term treatment profits when the those cancer cells matastisize.
