Dog attack big German Shepherd attacks small poodle

A careless owner walks his big dog without a leash and doesn't care if the dog attacks other dogs. I managed to save my dog before getting seriously hurt on time. This thing happens too often and the owners should take more responsibility.

The man not putting a leash on his GSD after that encounter says a lot. I was walking my dog on a leash in a regular park (not a dog park) when a man walking toward me with his off-leash GSD informed me not to get to close are his dog would attack, which made me think he should put his dog on leash. Sheeesh, some people.

I'm a large dog owner and this upsets me so much. People like this make me look bad, even if my dog is behaved and on leash.

That poodle was looking back at that german shepard like, "oh hell no, you lucky my human held me back. You best keep walking!"

I once was in a park where dogs and people were allowed and my poodle was on a leash. I heard a woman yelling out her dogs name and looked up and saw her GS charging at us. I picked up my dog and held her over my head while yelling at the owner to get her FN dog. Her dog never got mine but he did bite me on the arm and had me scratched up jumping and trying to get her. The woman finally got her dog and seeing that I was injured she said to me "Hold on, I have a first aid kit in the car. She took off with her dog in tow and yes you guessed it. Never came back.

As an owner of a Shepherd I am appalled at this owner’s behaviour. If he has a badly socialised, dominant dog he should not let it off the leash in public places. Also if you let your dog off leash he/she should come when called!!!
And not intervening when his dog attacks or apologising to the Poodle’s owners is beyond rude!!

I`ve witnessed a German Shepherd murdering a small dog and after that his owner just laughed . I think that the guy who walks him without a leash should be beaten severely

As a proud GSD owner I have to say, this is very irresponsible of this guy to leave his dog loose like this in public. I don't care how well trained it is, there's a million things that could go wrong

This is why I carry maximum strength pepper spray. My dog was bitten once because of a careless neighbor & next time I will be better prepared to protect myself and my dog.

I love GSD but seeing this make me angry because now that the owner messed up and did not put on the leash on his dog and it attacked the poodle now people think that German shepherds are bad dogs! German shepherd are one of the best dog in the world! So people please don’t think that because this dog did something bad(but it happened because of the owner)that you don’t think all GSD are bad…please?

I have a German shepherd that was part of the police academy for a while, he’s retired now, but his best friend is a little Pomeranian. It’s rare to see especially a German shepherd causing trouble to other dogs. So it must have been the owner.

When I read the title, I didn't actually think the German Shepherd would ACTUALLY attack the poodle. I thought it was one of those misleading titles and the they were just gonna play.

It looks like when the owner was trying to move the poodle away it heightened the GSD’s prey drive (NOT THE POODLE OWNERS FAULT) the GSD should’ve 100% been on a leash

I am a German shepherd owner for sure that German shepherd did not get the proper socialization and training it needs to be a great dog. I trained my dog really well and actually my German shepherd is scared of most dogs. So not all German shepherds will be that way unless you let them be that way.
