Thank you for this simple method of showing how to compost. I live in a townhome and I am planning to create a simple one in my garage. I use lots of vegetables and fruits everyday and I feel it is wasted. I could use the compost for my plants.

Thank you so much. I have dumping my oranges pills outside in an area where there is a whole bunch of weeds behind the apt building I live in. I didn't want to throw them in the grabage as I believe what we eat from mother earth goes back to mother earth

Is it necessarely that I put brown materials as first layer? Won't it work if done randomly? Can I mix potting soil with organic matters so that the compost is quikly incoporated into the potting soil?
