I like the subtle change in Chara's eyes when they first meet Asriel, and the one frame with a bloody knife in Frisk's hand at the end.

backstory time! chara is theorized to be the first child to fall into the underground. they made themselves family to toriel and asgore, and becoming best friends with asriel. one day, chara became terminally ill from eating buttercups (poisonous) instead of cups of butter.

their finals wish was to see the golden flowers in the overworld. so, asriel absorbed chara’s soul and went to the real world, where they were shot by villagers. asriel then turns into flowey. chara wanted to kill the humans but asriel resisted, which led to them dying together. (they co-piloted asriel’s body)
and yeah, alphys spilled determination on a thing of golden flowers and it bloomed flowey

ALSO: the human you name in the beginning of the game is the first child, NOT who you play as.
