How To Shock A Pool With Granular Shock

I wish there were videos AND packaged chemicals geared to smaller (i.e., 1100 gallon) pools like what I have. Trying to "calculate" the amount needed can be trickly.

I use hot tap water to dissolve the granules. Just be sure to keep your face way away from the bucket when using hot or warm water. Or wear a respirator.

Besides doing this in the evening, how long do you need to leave your pump on after shocking the pool?

What position should filter valve be in? Filter or recirculate when shocking.

Can i shock a pool just like shown if i have an inline chlorinator that still has tabs in it or should i wait until the chlorinator is totally empty? Also if the chlorinator is completely empty and i shock the pool (exactly as shown) when can i put some chlorine tabs back in the chlorinator??

My hth pool shock says not to dissolve first. Can i still do it the way you did?

last step; get into the pool and release couple of strong short farts, it will add to the water bouquet and kill chlorine odor + aeration

I find it funny that Leslies video has them pouring it directly in and this video you are pouring it in water first. I'm wondering if one is better than the other.
