This is sad on so many levels. Sad for the other girls but ultimately even sadder for Maddie. I've heard she was actually offered a job on Broadway. She had to turn it down because of her Dance Moms contract.
So the show literally set this up, she was actually offered the job, and then they wouldn't let her do it.

I understand that it mustn’t have been nice for him to pull Maddie over infront of them, but it’s not maddies fault, and it doesn’t take away from her talent. Her cry number is defiantly what caught the agents eye. Maddies emotion is where she won people over in my opinion. Besides having alot in maddies favour, all the girls had an opportunity to catch his eye still. In this industry it’s sad because favouritism is very present, a lot of stars were picked out of a crowd at one point and had people backing them so they made it. It’s okay to recognise how talented Maddie was and her charisma, I do think she was a star and had that look, just because she was favoured doesn’t take away from anything because she was very talented and noticeable either way. But all the girls were talented and had potential, they just didn’t have someone backing them all the time.
